Microsoft’s upcoming Lumia smartphones have been the subject of rumors and leaks in the past. Recently Microsoft put a stamp of approval on all the speculations in the leaked internal presentation slides posted by the Forever Nokia Latinoamérica. Prior to this, the page also leaked the Lumia 550.
The leaks though revealed nothing new as the features and designs had been the subject of much speculation and discussion by the third parties renders. Microsoft authenticated all the speculations and the consumers are now confident about what Microsoft is going to present in the market.
As per slides, the new devices will encapsulate Windows 10 which will ensure PC like functionality. Windows 10 ‘Hello feature’ is another attraction which allows users to unlock their devices with their face. In addition Microsoft is also focusing on Continuum Dock otherwise known as Microsoft Display Dock through which the users can access the full sized office apps on any display.
Lumia 950 is said to come in 5.2-inches QuadHD display with Matte White or black polycarbonate body variants. The device will be powered by Qualcomm 6-core Snapdragon 808 processor with removable battery backing of 3000 mAh.
Lumia 950 is speculated to support Iris Scanner for Windows Hello and Qi Wireless charging. Leaks regarding camera include a 20 MP pure view rear camera with dual LED flash and OIS capability and a 5 MP HD Front facing camera. The flagship is said to come with an internal storage of 32 GB and a micro SD slot.
Lumia 950 XL on the other hand is said to come with 5.7-inches QualHD display and is driven by Qualcomm 64-bit Octa core Snapdragon 810 processor. 950 XL will be powered by 3300 mAh removable battery with 32 GB of internal storage. Camera specs include a 20 MP pure view camera with triple flash and a 5 MP wide angle front camera.
Lumia 550 will come in a 5.2-inches display with 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The device is said to have a 20 MP, OIS supported real camera and a 5 MP selfie camera.
The launching event will be held on 6th of October. Microsoft has not revealed the prices or availability of the flagships yet.
