The South Korean multinational LG is speculated to launch a ‘Lite’ variant of its flagship smartphone device named LG G5 for consumers in Latin America. Recently, the handset has also been certified by TENAA, the Chinese certification authority.

As far as the specifications of the LG G5 Lite are concerned, it will feature a Quad HD 5.3-inch always-on display with 2560×1440p screen resolution. The handset will be powered by octa-core Snapdragon 652 (620) SoC along with Adreno 510 GPU for graphics.

For storage, the LG G5 Lite will pack in 3GB of RAM along with 32GB expandable internal storage.

In terms of camera, the handset will feature a 16MP back camera supported by dual-tone flash, laser auto focus and 4K recording capability augmented with an 8MP rear secondary shooter that will come with a wide-angle lens support. In addition, the handset will also embrace 8MP front-facing snapper to click selfies.

The LG G5 Lite is speculated to come with a fingerprint scanner and an infrared sensor. The handset will be driven by Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box.

Connectivity options will include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WIFI 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and USB Type C connectivity. The handset will be backed by 2700mAh removable battery featuring Quick Charge 3.0 technology by Qualcomm.

It is significant to mention here that LG G5 Lite might not be the final name of the forthcoming smartphone. Thus, we may have to hold on a little longer till the device is revealed officially by the South Korean company.

The handset is rumoured to be rolled out in Panama, Mexico, Brazil and Chile. However no information regarding the price of the device has yet been released.
