Battery technology and its use has always been an issue for a mobile consumer. A smartphone with a longer battery life is in huge demand.
To combat the issue, Qualcomm had previously introduced its Quick Charge 2.0 technology which provides easier cum faster way to power up the devices with least possible interference. To make the cellular experience even more efficient Qualcomm has also launched its Quick charge3.0 which allows mobile phones to get 80% charged in 35 minutes.
Qualcomm’s new launch ensures quicker and efficient charge owing to its newly adopted algorithm and design. The new INOV technology makes it easier to request the power input to charge up the batteries by supplying the exact amount of power needed with 3.6V to 20V voltage range as compared to version 2.0 which was restricted to voltage specifications of 5V, 9V, 12V and 20V.
Quick Charge3.0 comes with an availability of Snapdragon processors manufactured by Qualcomm including 820, 620, 618, 617 and 430.
“Quick Charge3.0 addresses a primary consumer challenge with today’s mobile devices in helping users restore battery life quickly and efficiently , and does so through leading technology and a robust eco system including leading device and accessory OEMs.” Said Alex Katouzian, senior VP, Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
Additional updates include maintenance of backward and forward compatibility with previously released versions, ultra-fast charging, UL certification to keep up the standards and cable independence with OEMs options.
Quick Charge is an affordable option for fast and efficient battery charging. Both operators and OEMs can avail the Quick Charge ecosystem with around 90 available accessories.
Till date there are 100 authorized accessories and more than 40 devices using Quick Charge2.0.
