Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 was one of the most acclaimed smartphones in China with a massive sale of around 5 million units in less than a month after its release. The Chinese company is now preparing to unveil another handset within the same price range. As per the images leaked by Chinese blog Mobile-Dad, the rumored Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro seems another flagship with superior build and mid-range specs.
Unlike its predecessor, speculation place the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro with a metallic body along with a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back side, under the shooter and the LED flash.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to feature a 5.5-inches touch enabled capacitive display with 1080p full HD resolution which will ensure sharp and crisp display.
The device is said to be driven by MediaTek MT6795 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz along with a PowerVR G6200 GPU coupled with 2GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the handset is rumored to have a 32GB microSD card supported internal storage which can be conveniently extended up to 128GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is speculated to pack a 13MP primary camera which will be able to support autofocus, video recording and an LED flash respectively. The handset will also feature a hearty 5MP front facing selfie snapper.
In terms of battery, the Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to feature a 3,600 mAh battery and will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which is an older version of Android.
The Chinese company has not yet disclosed that whether or not Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will support Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Though there is no update regarding the official launch of the device; the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is expected to be released any time in December.
