The Huawei P8 took the center stage at the first and only International photography festival named ‘The Lagos Photos Festival’ held in Nigeria. The fair is a month-long celebration and encompasses discussions, presentations, workshops, exhibitions along with extensive outdoor events exhibited all over the city with the intention of restoring public interest and appeal to the community with rich and enticing African culture.
The current year’s expo launched on Saturday, 24th of October, 2015 at Eko hotel and Suites Lagos and featured the first ever Mobile Phone Photography exhibition with an award winning photographer Kelechi Amadi-obi presenting his Huawei P8 based photography work.
According to the celebrity photographer,
“I am using this work to demonstrate that creativity is about having fun when you think of stuff. Don’t think about the money just have fun and express yourself by enjoying what you like.”
The Huawei P8 is a 5.2-inches, nano dual SIM card supported flagship which works smoothly with a 4G network. The device features a 13MP primary shooter along with 5MP front selfie-snapper. Internally the handset packs in a 1.2GHz octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB microSD card expandable internal storage. Huawei P8 is powered by a 2680mAh battery backup and was released earlier this year.
According to Kelechi, his work was influenced by the music of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, a famous Nigerian afrobeat legend. He also mentioned that his photography work incorporated the use of light photography, which is a technique of practicing the Huawei P8 light painting feature.
As per Senior Marketing Manager, Consumer Business Group, Huawei in Nigeria, Olaonipekun Okunowo, the P8 by Huawei takes beauty to the next level, electrifying a perfect harmony of inspiration and finesse.
Huawei P8 has definitely over paced its fellows with its dazzling frame and exclusive specs and set a new benchmark for present-day photography via mobile cams.
